The Flood

The start...just before this, I had gone down to get the camera to take pictures of our street (which you could raft down), when I got to the basement, I noticed the water coming in and thankfully got Allie upstairs quickly. She was laying on the floor watching TV, not a clue that the water was starting to come in!
Where most of the water came in from...the drain in the laundry room
starting to seep through the walls (which are supposedly water proofed)
Slowly seeping through our 3 year old carpet

The street...the water was up and over the curb and knee deep two driveways down from us
At the peak, we had about 6-7 inches...up to the bottom step
Everything started floating...

The next morning...keeping the girls busy upstairs while the guys tear out the basement
First went the carpet...then the baseboards and the further we ripped out, the more mold and damage we found

Drying everything out...we must have about 7 or 8 fans plus 3 dehumidifiers that were going for 4 days straight

Rock Lake, Bay Beach and of course, more kitchen!

Spending the morning on the lake...couldn't think of a place I'd rather be!

Allie takes her turn on the tube first

Aubrey's turn
When given the choice of who Lex would rather go with, she shockingly chose Uncle Nate over Daddy!
Aubrey wanted to go again and faster...so she rode with Nate for a fun ride
Can you tell she's lovin' it??

Back on the beach to make castles

Before...
and after! Everything is nice and even now!
Phil was done early so we had time to play some whiffle ball in the backyard before dinner

My silly little monkeys
I love her hair!
With the baby due soon, we thought it'd be fun to go to Bay Beach in Green Bay for a fun family day
